The City of Somerville is reconstructing the intersection of Alewife Brook Parkway and Powder House Boulevard with support from a MassWorks Infrastructure Program grant from the State. The project will upgrade ageing underground infrastructure and create safer roadway conditions for all users.

The City of Somerville is reconstructing the intersection of Alewife Brook Parkway and Powder House Boulevard with support from a MassWorks Infrastructure Program grant from the State. The project will upgrade ageing underground infrastructure and create safer roadway conditions for all users.

As of November 2020, the project is currently in the conceptual design phase. Final design is expected to be complete by Fall 2021, followed by bidding and construction which will tentatively last through 2023.
